Instrumentation And Electronics Technician Jobs in Alabama

Responsible for the manufacture of consumer foods which comply with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Coaches other team members on electrical, instrumentation, and controls skills, machine functionality, defect identification and resolution, and equipment repair.

Serves as owner of one or more technical, safety, or quality systems. Responsible for building technician skills and providing ongoing coaching.

Attains and maintenance low voltage qualification within twelve months of start date.

Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.

Working knowledge of general electrical safety.

Experience communicating information to various audiences including but not limited to regulatory bodies, contractors, manufacturers, managers, vendors, etc.

Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electronic equipment and components (e.g., circuitry repair, wiring installation and repair).

Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and components (e.g., part replacements, modifying existing parts).

Experience reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.

Experience using Excel or other software to verify and interpret data.

Technical & Job Specific Knowledge.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)

Knowledge and experience preparing drawings of electrical circuits

Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams

Knowledge and experience applying and interpreting results from common electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.)

May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties.

Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software).
