They may also be responsible for conducting air sampling, noise sampling, and other environmental monitoring activities. They may also be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, and providing training on health and safety topics.

• Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practices
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and their effects on human health
