PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Ladder Logic Programming, PLC's

Minimum 1+ years' experience in manufacturing environment and automation/robotics equipment

Hands on experience using various hand and power tools to troubleshoot and calibrate Cobot components.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Basic knowledge of computer software use including word, excel, power point and outlook is required.

Solid knowledge in electronics; analog, power, digital, and RF, with some understanding of basic RF theory.

Experience in following test instructions and procedures.

Experience in RF/microwave component testing and characterization.

Basic working knowledge of PNA, VNA, ATE usage

Good communication skills written, spoken and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of ISO 9000 Quality processes a plus

3 years’ experience performing field service, installation, repair, maintenance and acceptance testing of two-way radios and digital equipment

Installs electronic communication and other electronic equipment, including fareboxes, on coaches and other Metro vehicles

Programs and operates automatic test equipment to aid in the troubleshooting of electronic equipment

Removes electronic communications equipment, including fareboxes from vehicles taken out of service

Performs preventive and remedial maintenance on modules and assemblies

Maintains automatic vehicle monitoring equipment on coaches

3 years’ experience performing field service, installation, repair, maintenance and acceptance testing of two-way radios and digital equipment

Verification of Education and Experience:

Applications completed improperly may be cause for ineligibility, disqualification or may lead to lower scores.

Compensation Range: $ 117,130 - $ 142,324

The duration of the appointment shall not exceed 24 months.

While specific system knowledge is not required, having similar system experience is highly desired.

6+ years of specific experience with RF communications and/or radar systems.

Demonstrated ability in assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.

Work shall include recommending changes or modifications to improve the operation or the quality of electronic and/or mechanical products and equipment.

Proof of supporting technical schools, whether military or civilian.

While not required, Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline is desirable.

Two (2) years of experience working on and around utility power transmission and/or distribution systems up to 115 thousand volts.

Five (5) years working experience with SIMPLEX fire alarm system and the Monitor Dynamics Inc. (MDI) access control system.

Minimum Qualification Supplemental Questionnaire (MQSQ)

The certification rule for this selection process will be Rule of Three Scores.

Maintenance and repair of Transit Vehicles and/or Transit Vehicle Electronic Equipment, Signals and Motive Power Electronics.

Availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
