Immigration Program Specialist Jobs

Maintains case management database, directs client contact- phone calls, emails, and postal correspondence

Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including clients, management staff and support staff

High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and Paralegal certification required

Familiar with immigration case management systems

Manages own caseload, processing, and distributing of essential documents

Open and log all mail (USCIS/NVC correspondence) for immigration programs into the case management software.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IRC Sacramento’s case acceptance policies, which include enrollment eligibility criteria across immigration legal services programs.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Knowledge of and interest to learn about immigration legal services.

Create and maintain virtual and/or physical case files according to standardized model.

In coordination with the Staff Attorney, conduct monthly administrative file review.

Proven experience in project management

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Assist and take direction from the Immigration Program Manager on the operations, projects and initiatives of the Immigration Program

Maintain knowledge of changes in immigration policies/regulations to ensure full compliance with immigration laws and communicate to stakeholders timely

Manage onsite USCIS employment checks and internal processes/procedures

Coordinate with external counsel for managing case status reporting related to Service Level Agreements and client experience
