Overview HVAC Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. They must be knowledgeable in the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, as well as the operation of various types of HVAC equipment. Detailed Job Description HVAC Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. They must be knowledgeable in the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer, as well as the operation of various types of HVAC equipment. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, and be familiar with the tools and materials used in the installation and repair of HVAC systems. They must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, and be able to make repairs and adjustments to the system as needed. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and components
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
