They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, and be able to work with tools and equipment such as soldering irons, drills, and wrenches. They must be able to install, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other components. They must be able to inspect and test systems for proper operation, and be able to adjust and calibrate systems as needed. They must be able to diagnose and repair problems, and be able to perform preventive maintenance on systems.
