Detailed Job Description Housing Counselors are responsible for providing advice and assistance to individuals and families seeking housing assistance. They may also provide assistance with applications for housing assistance programs, such as Section 8 and public housing. In addition, they may provide referrals to other resources and services, such as job training, legal aid, and financial counseling. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field

• Previous experience in housing counseling or a related field

• Certification from a recognized housing counseling organization

• Knowledge of local housing laws and regulations
