Prior housekeeping experience in an institutional setting preferred.

Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident rooms, bathrooms and common areas daily according to facility procedures.

Respects residents' privacy and preferences about room arrangement and personal items. Knocks before entering resident rooms and bathrooms.

Cleans walls, ceilings, windows, mirrors, and waxes floors according to department procedures and cleaning schedules.

Takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times.

Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid

Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Help clients take prescribed medication

Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)

Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

One-year experience working with housekeeping

Dusts, mops, and vacuums floors utilizing wet floor signs and safe working practices.

Dusts/washes furniture, sinks, toilets, showers, lightning fixtures, blinds, window sills, windows, etc.

Moves furniture to adequately clean and dust.

Uses sanitizing agents and disinfects areas.

Ensures soap dispensers are kept full.

Impeccable work ethic and excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills

At least one year of experience as a professional housekeeper preferred

Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
