At least five years of experience in a leadership role in a hospice organization

Minimum one year management/supervisory experience required.

Three to five years healthcare sales/ management experience preferred.

Manages financial resources prudently and effectively.

Two or more years' experience in hospice/home care required

Manages palliative care program in area.

Maintains oversight and visibility as evidenced by onsite location visits weekly and documentation of onsite validation reports monthly.

Responsible for managing the “Big 5” of programs in assigned area: pharmacy, medical supplies, durable medical equipment, mileage and labor.

Owner of Pre-Bill compliance and unbilled outcomes.

Has the primary responsibility for budgetary compliance with all patient/family services related expenses and for any patient/family services related budgetary projections.

Assures that the highest standards of hospice care are met and that all vendor/physician interactions are timely, accurate, complete and positive.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy.

Creates and manages by a “Book of Business” for each Hospice Care Consultant.

Defines and manages the monthly and annual growth objectives for all growth staff.

Assists program leadership in planning and presenting educational, informational, and marketing programs to area professional groups.

Bachelor's degree along with at least three years’ experience leading growth teams is strongly preferred.

Alternatively, at least five years’ experience managing growth teams is required.

Experience in leadership or management strongly preferred.

Support and manage Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) including scheduling, productivity, mentoring and monitoring, 1x1’s, pay practices and timekeeping

Experience with Electronic Medical Record systems a strong plus.

Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing a plus but not required.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:

Executive Director / Administrator or higher-level experience.

Strong experience in Operations, Growth Strategy & oversight site level clinical leadership.
