Home Based Primary Care Rn Jobs in Texas

Ambulatory and/or care management experience preferred

Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn other computer skills as needed.

Work professionally with doctors, hospital administration and management, SEP associates and the public.

Other Required Skills And Knowledge

Three to four years medical field experience

Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, etc.

One year of recent general medical/surgical or skilled/acute care nursing experience

Eligibility - employed 20 hours or more a week

Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.

ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid regulations preferred. CPC or similar certification preferred.

Completes desk review or field audits to meet applicable contract requirements and to identify evidence of potential overpayment or fraud.

Consults with Benefit Integrity investigation experts and pharmacists for advice and clarification.

Responsible for case specific or plan specific data entry and reporting.

Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data.

If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

Implements program incident management protocols and ensures timely incident reporting and implementation of corrective action;

Manages program quality enhancement and the operations of the HBPC Program, to include Houston and all affiliated community-based outpatient clinics;

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

1-2 years of Home Based Primary Care / Primary Care experience;

3-4 years of administrative experience
