Prepares sections of human tissue for microscopic examination, using principles and knowledge of histology technique, under the supervision of the surgeon.
Ensures that all equipment, instruments, and accessories are available daily for scheduled procedures. Reports any irregularities to Office Manager.
ASCP eligible (non-certified tech’s will receive a 5% increase if they become certified). Current BLS Certification.
Performs required quality control procedures for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Sterilizes instruments using autoclave and proper aseptic technique.
Cares for, maintains and documents required maintenance on laboratory equipment, instruments, and accessories in accordance with CLIA regulations.
