Hearing Test Technician Jobs in New York

As directed by management, tests and troubleshoots test equipment and custom-made Test Fixtures and Test Sets using available documentation.

Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

As required, supports Engineering for First Article testing and Qualification testing.

Must have a good working knowledge of basic analog and digital components and circuitry.

Must have a working knowledge of computers.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office is a plus.

Basic knowledge of audio recording software and hardware. (You will receive training in the use of the required audio hardware.)

Merging two phone conference lines via mobile phone.

Setting up the portable recording kit on client premises.

Starting and stopping/pausing recording at client’s direction.

Monitoring audio recordings while in process.

Troubleshooting any audio problems as they occur, whether operational or equipment-based.

Problem-solving skills and decisive knowledge of appropriate testing methods.

Experience working with analog and digital circuits

Minimum 2 years experience as a production test technician, product tester or similar role.

Experience with industry standard testing equipment and software.

Associates degree or equivalent certified technical degree.

Proficiency in testing to documented procedures and protocols.

Associate degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering or comparable technical discipline) 5+ years or Bachelors with 1+ years of relevant technical experience

Strong interpersonal & effective communication (verbal & written) skills, strong problem-solving skills

Verify and validate the testing equipment functionality and document the results

Write test protocols, perform testing, and write test reports using Word and Excel

Monitor long term tests, analyze the data, and communicate status

Support root cause identification, corrective actions, and re-verification/validation of identified product defects.
