A. Conduct himself/herself and his/her program in a professional manner and b. Develop student skills and attitudes.

Emphasize safety precautions, and be aware of the best training and injury procedures. Current first-aid certification is highly recommended.

College degree or college training preferred with a high school diploma or equivalent as a minimum qualification.

Be able to instruct students in the techniques and requirements of this activity.

Be able to consistently meet scheduled responsibilities for practice, coaching preparation, competition, and related activities.

Has a thorough knowledge of and responsible for the athletic policy approved by the Board of Education.

Understand, monitor and enforce district academic standards, policies and eligibility requirements.

Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully .

Physical Requirements of Position: (HBV

-planning, strategy, instruction in fundamentals, and so forth.

Responsible for care and issuance of all football equipment used by the team.

Skills and abilities in organization, efficiency, time management, budgeting and record keeping.

Maintain current knowledge of sport techniques/issues, coaching certification, and training requirements.

Knowledge of the specific sport, its rules, required skills and abilities, coaching techniques, game strategy, and student development.

Skills and abilities of accuracy and attention to detail.

Process and manage supply orders, distribution, and inventory.

Skill and ability to develop and instruct student athletes, and to apply effective game strategy.

Collaborate with Activities Director and/or administration pertaining to the scheduling of contests, practices, bus trips, and purchasing of equipment.

Uphold and enforce all policies and procedures set by the Athletic Office and School Principals.

Require all players to participate in the Athletic Department’s fundraising efforts.

Be responsible for the care and maintenance of all equipment and uniforms issued to your players.

Complete required online concussion training.

Promptly notify the Athletic Director and Athletic Trainer of any injuries sustained at games or practices and complete all required reports.
