Knowledge in the higher education field to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster excellence.

Knowledge of healthcare industry or direct experience preferred, but not required.

Experience and skill in interpersonal communications and conflict resolution techniques/procedures.

Educate students on University policy and procedures, and program requirements, ensuring consistent, and accurate information is identified, shared, and applied.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with three years of experience relevant to the position.

A minimum of one years’ previous experience in student services.

A minimum of 1-year of exceptional customer service or prior advising experience in an education setting

Prior experience in a similar role within the higher education

Knowledge and experience with online learning

Collaborate with other departments across various functions to ensure a superior student experience, from the initial application stage to graduation

Exhibit strong attention to detail and communication skills, with the ability to articulate and convey student account information

A work environment free of distractions and interruptions, with no conflicting responsibilities during your scheduled shift

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Research skills in the humanities

Some experience doing research in the humanities; computer literacy essential

research skills in the humanities

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Use interlibrary loan and other resources to find primary sources

Fulfills short- and long-term goals for recruitment and enrollment as set by the Graduate College management team.

Interprets and maintains knowledge of current federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures pertaining to admissions, financial aid, & scholarships.

Responds to prospect inquiries received via email, phone, or other channels providing exceptional customer service.

Adheres to a prospect plan that includes goals for number of contacts to be reached and frequency of contacts.

Provides support in the application process from receipt of application, decision, orientation, and enrollment of applicants.

Uses statistical data to identify target recruitment markets.
