Gis Technical Specialist Jobs in North Carolina

Routine data entry, data management, creation, conversion, and generation of maps.

Maintain proficiency with industry standards, GIS programs and processes, including cartography, computing, data management, editing, creation, and conversion methods.

Proficiency with database management, data conversion software, map projections

Organize and manage tabular and graphical data, metadata and produce cartographic maps for illustrations, reports, and presentations for analysis by others.

1 – 3 years of post-graduate related GIS experience

Has advanced knowledge of and experience with creating and publishing services to Esri ArcGIS Server, including backend configuration.

Has an applied knowledge of product development, including requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.

Can apply technical knowledge and experience to a wide variety of problems and situations.

Has a working knowledge of general GIS concepts related to data, analysis, cartography, and editing.

Has demonstrated experience with simple ArcPy, Python scripting, and Esri ArcGIS model builder.

Can work independently with customers to understand requirements and collaboratively develop solutions.
