National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Certificate of Added Qualification in Emergency Medicine - NCCPA CAQ in EM - Preferred

Performs health histories, physical exams, individual and group health education. - 20%

Experience - No previous experience required

NCCPA certification and current Physician Assistant licensure in South Carolina

Supports clinic function by participating in policy development, operational improvement and the implementation of policies and improvements. - 10%

Enhances clinical skills by maintaining sufficient continuing medical education to meet the requirements of the Physician’s certification and/or state licensing board.

Participates in the establishment of quality assurance programs, utilization management programs, patient education services, and patient satisfaction programs.

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Other Required Skills and Experience

Participates in responding to requests for proposals for managed care contracts.

Knowledge of Office Equipment (fax/copier)

Leadership experience in building and expanding substance use disorder services across a health system

Experience in working collaboratively with other mental health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

MD or equivalent degree from an appropriately accredited institution

Candidate must be board eligible/certified in Addiction specialty (psychiatry or medicine)

Candidates must be eligible for clinical privileges at ECU Health Medical Center
