General Labor Forklift Operator 1St Shift Jobs in Virginia

Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, performs other tasks including pallet building as determined and requested by management

Knowledge acquired through 1 - 3 years of work experience

PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack, Single Forklift, Double Forklift, Scrubber.

1-2+ Years of sit down and stand-up forklift experience.

Active forklift certification a plus

Shipping & Receiving experience in a cold storage facility, specifically around the food or beverage industry

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control, quality control, lean manufacturing

Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state

Operate the forklift safely with constant awareness of the people and environment around you

Working knowledge of basic safety principles, including proper lifting and use of personal protective equipment

Advanced forklift skills (single-wide), with the ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a small area

Rudimentary mechanical skills and simple tool usage

Follow verbal instructions Intermediate math skills

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple processes to support overall system efficiency

Previous experience in a logistics environment
