The Full Time Public Works Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the public works department. This includes planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the department, as well as providing technical and administrative support to the department. The Director is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Director will be responsible for the following duties:

• Developing and implementing short and long-term plans for the department
• Overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of public works projects
• Supervising and evaluating the performance of department staff
• Developing and managing the department budget
• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Representing the department in meetings and conferences
• Developing and maintaining relationships with other government agencies, contractors, and vendors
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Providing technical and administrative support to the department
