Offering rate will vary within the listed hourly range above. *Supported by the Department budget & related experience/education*

Knowledge of child growth and development as well as developmentally appropriate practices for children ages birth to 6 years.

Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.

Knowledge of basic computer use (emails, Word, internet).

Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation.

Ability to work with children with diverse backgrounds and levels of ability toward accomplishing their developmental and educational goals.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served by Avera@Home.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Experience in home health care or related health care field preferred.

Ideal candidate will have experience working children under the age of 2.

Responds quickly and directly to children's needs, desires, and messages; adapts responses to children's differing styles and abilities.

Participates in in-service training, workshops, and other educational activities as required or assigned.

Knowledge of instructional procedures and rules, regulations and practices as appropriate for childcare centers.

Working knowledge of health and safety standards as they apply to children in child care centers.

Must meet minimum State of Wisconsin licensing requirements.

Providing medication management under the supervision of the R.N.

Actively participating in team meetings, treatment team meetings, and other meetings involved in planning and management issues of the group home.

Knowledge of and/or experience with developmental stages of children, adolescents, and families.

Supervising and role modeling basic living skill activities.

Providing educational support by advocating for the student with school personnel, supervising and assisting with study time, and monitoring student progress.

Assisting and participating in Structured Educational Therapeutic (SET) Activities.

Previous experience working with hospitalized and health children

Plans and coordinates therapeutic outings with the TR Specialist as appropriate for patient care.

Child Life Certificate, or proof of eligibility

Background in Child Development, Child Life, Psychology, or similar field

Gather and analyze information skillfully.
