Overview Foster care workers provide support and guidance to children and young people who are in the care of the state. They work with foster families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure that the children in their care are safe, healthy, and have access to the resources they need to thrive. Detailed Job Description Foster care workers are responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people in foster care. They work with foster families, social workers, and other professionals to ensure that the children in their care are safe, healthy, and have access to the resources they need to thrive. They provide emotional support and guidance to the children, helping them to develop the skills they need to become independent and successful adults. Foster care workers also help to coordinate services for the children, such as medical care, educational support, and recreational activities. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• Relevant experience working with children and young people
• Valid driver’s license
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Clear criminal record check
