Maintain knowledge and proficiency on equipment and technologies that enhance Kroger's productivity

2+ years previous van repair and maintenance experience

Associate's degree in Automotive and/or Diesel Technology may substitute for 2 years of experience

Proficient skill in using applicable hand and power tools, equipment and mechanical devices of the trade

Proficient skill in mechanical repair procedures for diesel, gasoline, CNG and LPG engines

ASE certifications with at least one complete test series relevant to job duties

Manufacturer specific certifications if directly related to daily job duties

Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic (MHM) certification from the International Fluid Power Society

Adhere to maintenance programs and procedures

Knowledge or and/or experience with transport refrigeration preferred.

Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem solving is required.

Must have or be able to obtain Brake Inspector Certification as defined in FMCSA Part 396.25 within 3 months.

Must have or be able to obtain Annual Inspector Certification as defined in FMCSA Part 396.19 within 3 months.

English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.

Perform complete preventative maintenance inspection and service on all mechanical transportation equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines.
