Fitness Instructors Jobs

Ability to clearly communicate procedures, policies, and other information verbally, in writing and/or by demonstration, to students, staff, and/or management.

Ability to effectively present information to students, management and/or public groups.

Support the educational process to meet or exceed budgeted expectations in the areas of student retention.

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment.

Demonstrate knowledge and experience through multiple different facets of training

Personal Trainers report to the Fitness Manager

Instructors report to the Fitness Manager.

Current Personal Training certification (i.e. ACE, NASM, NSCA)

Current Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA) and/or a certification in a specialty area (i.e. Cycling, Barre, Yoga, Zumba)

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Knowledge of fitness training and education methods and techniques in area of specialty.

Skill in the use of first aid procedures.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.

Knowledge of exercise principles and technology.

Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of fitness equipment and facilities.
