Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Must obtain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification

Must obtain certification as a Georgia Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate or Advanced within twenty-four (24) months of hire.

Meet and maintain the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) medical and physical fitness requirements.

Meet competencies for NFPA 1001, Firefighter Professional Qualifications, Chapters 3 - 4 (Firefighter I and II).

Meet competencies for NFPA 1031, Professional Qualifications for Fire Inspector, Chapter 3 (Fire Inspector I).

· Must possess great communication skills as well as customer service skills.

· Control Access to designated areas.

· Secure assigned post locations.

· “Observe and Report” all incidents and accidents. Confront and resolve incidents to successful conclusion.

· Be diligent and vigilant in security and safety awareness.

· Foot patrol and Fix post.
