RN- Manager Surgical Clinical Operations

Retains clinical skills for execution of patient care as necessary.

Works with designated educator or department leader to ensure all levels of nursing skills and competencies are met.

Ensures staff compliance with required certifications.

Preferred: Surgery Scheduling Supervisor/ Charge nurse or Manager experience. Experience in Pre and Post-op areas is a plus

Required: Five years clinical experience. Five years of surgery experience.

Administrative Director (Main) or Director (Same Day Surgery – DH Surgical Services)

OR Schedule Coordinator and/or the OR Secretarial Support (Pre-intra and postoperative areas)

2-5 years of operating room experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

LA County Fire Card certification at the time of hire or within the first 30 days of employment

Must successfully complete and maintain BLS Certification

Must demonstrate knowledge/understanding of Surgical Environment: Unrestricted, Semi-restricted, and Restricted areas.

Manages movement of Perioperative gurneys returning them to SDS for cleaning and storage.

Demonstrates effective business writing and oral communication skills, handwriting is clear and legible.
