A Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain and repair the physical condition of a facility. This includes inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, as well as performing preventative maintenance.

What is Facility Maintenance Technician Skills Required?

• Knowledge of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills

What is Facility Maintenance Technician Qualifications?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Valid driver’s license
• Certification in one or more areas of facility maintenance

• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
