Experienced Welder Jobs

Preferred: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control

Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan and set up components for welding operations

Align components using fixtures, tape measure, etc. and clamp pieces

Weld components in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions

Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Operate plasma cutters, power tools, air tools, angle grinders, etc. to prepare parts for welding

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

3+ years of GMAW or FCAW welding experience

Must be able to pass multiple welder qualification tests during the Caterpillar provided training

Technical school or equal educational background in mechanical or similar discipline

Experience using GMAW or FCAW with 0.045” or larger wire

Experience welding ½” or greater thickness material
