Overview The Executive Assistant for Federal Relations is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Federal Relations team. This position will be responsible for managing the team’s calendar, coordinating meetings, and providing general administrative support. The Executive Assistant will also be responsible for researching and tracking federal legislation, regulations, and policy initiatives. Detailed Job Description• Manage the Federal Relations team’s calendar, coordinate meetings, and provide general administrative support.
• Research and track federal legislation, regulations, and policy initiatives.
• Prepare and submit reports to the Federal Relations team.
• Monitor and respond to inquiries from federal agencies and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of legislative and regulatory strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations and other materials for meetings and conferences.
• Maintain and update contact lists and databases.
• Assist in the preparation of grant applications and other documents.
• Assist in the development of policy positions and statements.
• Provide support for special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes.
• Ability to research and analyze complex policy issues.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in a legislative or policy-related role.
• Knowledge of federal legislative and regulatory processes.
• Ability to research and analyze complex policy issues.
