Exceptional Student Education Behavior Specialist Jobs

Florida certification in Administration and Supervision and in an area of Exceptional Student Education or School Psychology.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience and/or training in the field related to the title of the position.

Computer skills as required for the position.

An earned master's degree from an accredited institution.

Valid Florida teaching certificate or have applied to obtain a Florida teaching certificate required to include Exceptional Student Education certification preferred.

Model the routine, intentional and effective use of technology in daily work, including communications, organization and management tasks.

Master’s Degree from an accredited institution required, Ed. Leadership certification preferred.

Three (3) years of teaching experience required.

One (1) year coaching or teacher leader experience to include leading professional learning and using coaching competencies.

Provide professional development for parents, schools, teachers or staff related to Exceptional Student Education

Exceptional Student Education Behavior Specialist - ASD experience preferred.

Minimum experience of 1 year supporting individuals with disabilities

Profession: Exceptional Student Education Teacher

Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a caseload of 12-15 students.

Assess students’ skills to determine their needs and develop teaching plans.

Location: Florida: Tampa Bay, Jacksonville

Shift Schedule: As Per School Calendar

Participate in any training programs offered to enhance the individual skills and proficiency related to the job responsibilities.

Certification in an area of exceptional student education, or school psychology.

Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience and/or training in the field related to the title of the position.

Requires certification in Administration and Supervision.

Computer skills as required for the position.

Tennessee Certification in the appropriate content area, with a track record of data-driven achievement

Minimum of two years teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting (preferred, but not required)

Speaks Spanish or has experience working with bilingual students (preferred, but not required)

Holds a B.A./B.S. degree with a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5

Degree in subject area intended to teach (preferred, but not required)

Provide direct, co-teaching instruction to students in need of EE services in an inclusion setting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):

Valid professional Florida certificate in either Exceptional Student Education K-12, Varying Exceptionalities K-12, Mentally Handicapped K-12, or Specific Learning Disabilities K-12

At least three years’ teaching experience in one or more areas of Exceptional Student Education

Knowledge of transition services and support for students with disabilities, preferred

Ability to handle multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and effective time management

Manages all initial eligibilities and staff students appropriately for ESE programs
