Leads cleaning activities in assigned areas a member of the work team.

Participates in staff development and training within the department.

Participates in moving activities on assigned moves as a member of the work team.

Participates in cleaning activities on assigned projects as a member of the work team.

Strips and refinishes hard floor surfaces according to departmental procedures.

Dry mops, wet mop, and burnish floors according to departmental procedures.

Performs duties in accordance with system-wide policy?spolicies, competencies, and behaviors.Patient engagement.Performs other duties as assigned.

Work permit required if under 18 years old.Start date contingent on completion of HACC STEPS Program.

Orders supplies for department and notifies management in a timely manner of needed supplies.

Preferred: High school diploma or GED preferred (equivalent education and experience will be considered)

REPORTS TO POSITION: Manager of Environmental Services

Required: Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System driving requirements

Preferred: Minimum 1 year hospital housekeeping experience. Previous supervisory experience

Strong team working and collaborative skills

Minimum of one year formal housekeeping experience preferred

Experience in hospital or healthcare setting preferred.

Basic verbal and written communication skills

May set up furniture in conference rooms.

Maintain housekeeping cart, restock paper receptacles, replace sharps containers, and orders supplies essential to the job. Clean and store equipment properly.

Respond to emergency cleaning needs or housekeeping requires in a timely manner.
