Environmental Services Shift Supervisor Jobs in Iowa

3 to 6 months of experience in environmental service in a hospital and/or hotel setting.

Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

Environmental Services Aide - 1st Shift (7:30am-3:30pm)

Previous experience in the areas of Environmental Services is preferred.

Must be willing to obtain HazMat certification at either the Awareness or Operations Level.

Sitting – Not a requirement.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Must possess valid Iowa driver’s license where applicable and an acceptable driving record.

Must have the ability to work independently, portray a professional image, and sensitivity toward patient needs.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of continuous quality improvement, fiscal management and departmental goals and programs

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Collaborates with Materials Management personnel to establish inventory levels.

Familiarity with functions including Housekeeping, Materials Management, Food Services, Inventory and Planning

Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of organizational systems and workflow in order to supervise/manage properly

Coordinates and problem solves cleaning and maintenance with key managers of other hospital departments.
