Environmental Review Historian Jobs in Virginia

Attending Museum professional development training and builds knowledge on best practices for museums, museum education, collections, and museum communication.

Researching, writes and manages the Museum’s newsletter. Works with Gov delivery/Granicus creating monthly email to mailing list.

Collaborating with Curator of Education to update exhibit labels, write and edit content to support educational programming or exhibits as needed.

Depositing DEA announcements (e.g., letters from the Administrator, etc.) into an email folder for historical preservation.

Serving as final editor for Museum materials.

Developing new ways to share DEA Museum’s collections, content and history, both internally and externally.

If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

Serves on Crisis Management Teams (CMT) comprising Joint Staff-wide members and provides historical papers to support the team lead.

This position has a degree or education requirement so you are required to submit a copy of your transcript

Directing, and making policy, managerial, and technical decisions for all aspects of the production of the official histories; and

Familiarity with website content management systems (particularly Drupal) is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

A collegial and collaborative spirit and experience with both.

Experience with developing and writing content for a wide variety of media tools.

Strong writing and editing skills required.

Excellent experience writing at the academic and professional level

Experience overseeing a knowledgebase (including curating content, managing access, document workflow, etc.).

Must have a BS degree and 1 year experience.
