Environmental Compliance Officer Jobs

Project Management experience focusing on environmental projects

Relevant coursework, internships, co-ops and/or work experience in environmental, health and safety consulting

Experience managing environmental compliance tasks

Experience working directly with clients and regulatory agencies

40-hr HAZWOPER certification or the ability to attain this certification

Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an effective and timely manner

BS Degree in Environmental Engineering or Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering with relevant work experience in Stewardship compliance

Experience with environmental permiting and reporting activties

Ownership of Air and Landfill environmental systems and Celanese compliance activities.

Ownership of site Process Leading Indicator program to expand identification and reporting of incidents which could lead to environmental releases.

Strong background with development and implementation of stewardship compliance programs and systems.

Working knowledge of solid waste regulations, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management preferred

Prepare contractor bid packages for management and Commission (i.e. supportive memorandums, purchase requests, capital project documentation, etc.);

Environmental compliance reporting requirements, including knowledge of any state and federal regulatory agency software required to complete reporting;

Project management principles and practices;

Educational and Professional assistance programs; Paid Memberships in Professional Associations

Hybrid work schedule (Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm - 2 days in office/3 days remote)
