Employment Training Specialist Jobs in Florida

Ability to liaison with employers, research and develop employment prospects, and counsel offenders in job search skills.

Counsel offenders in appearance, presentation, and speaking skills relative to employment interviews.

Develop employment resources with employers, other agency’s personnel, job training opportunities, and educational/vocational training.

Assist offenders with procurement of identifying data that is in compliance with federal I-9 immigration employment requirements.

Monitor compliance of the requirement that states an offender will have full time employment within 30 calendar days of arrival.

Maintain accountability of offenders on job search by telephonic and/or on-site verification.

Attend weekly virtual meetings with management and colleagues.

Strong English speaking skills / Bilingual preferably

Have a working knowledge of Google services (Gmail, Meet, Calendar, etc.)

Two years working with individuals with disabilities highly desirable.

Knowledge of Miami Dade, Broward ,Palm Beach, or Brevard job market and trends.

. Great communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidentiality and the ability to manage multiple deadlines is required.

One-year Supported Employment/Job Coach experience working with I/DD & Special populations

A high school diploma or GED required

Willing to provide customer transportation using your vehicle

Valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record

Support customers in other vocational services to seek, train, and maintain employment

Help customers explore new things, pursue their interests, & help with socialization
