The ED Technician's responsibilities include collecting, communicating and documenting data and information

BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)

Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.

6 months Recent hospital direct patient care experience on an acute, sub-acute or skilled nursing facility.

Requires fluent ability to understand oral and written English directives.

Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician License. Or

Upon hire: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License. Or

Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).

Emergency Vehicle Technician Certifications and/or ASE Certifications.

Knowledge of operating characteristics of emergency vehicles.

Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety precautions, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of tools, equipment, and diagnostic testing devices used in emergency vehicle repair and maintenance.
