Job Description of Emergency Room Medical Assistant The Emergency Room Medical Assistant is responsible for providing medical assistance to patients in the Emergency Room. This includes taking vital signs, preparing patients for examination, assisting with medical procedures, and providing patient education. The Medical Assistant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Ability to take vital signs and perform basic medical procedures
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of medical office procedures
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Knowledge of medical software and electronic medical records
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• Previous experience in a medical office or hospital setting
• Ability to pass a background check
