Installs conduit and control cable. Terminates and splices underground and high voltage bus cables.

Reads and interprets electrical elementary diagrams, wiring diagrams, complex equipment instruction books, electrical and electro-mechanical equipment drawings.

Performs operational analysis, trouble analysis and repair on electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical equipment of all types and voltage classes.

Performs and interprets insulation quality tests on hydro generators, exciters and large horsepower motors, power transformers and vacuum breakers.

Performs high voltage testing of bucket trucks and underground cables.

5-9 years of practical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Develop verification and validation (V&V) plans for thermodynamics codes and custom analysis tools developed by X-energy, in accordance with NQA-1 requirements.

System Engineers regarding functions and requirements on systems, structures, and components.

Manage the configuration of models and simulations to ensure traceability through a version control system (e.g., Gitlab)

Perform all work under a quality assurance program that conforms to nuclear regulatory requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Manage client engagements, proposal generation, and project management functions to deliver consulting services

3-5+ years of energy consulting experience (e.g, transmission and distribution planning, DER planning, etc.)

Transmission system planning or operations experience analyzing power flow, transient stability, and electromagnetic transients

Experience using advanced power system analysis tools

Experience with one of more power system simulation software packages (e.g., PSSE, TARA, CYME, Synergi, etc.)

Experience with PJM, MISO, ERCOT, and/or SERC regions is an advantage

Interpret and administer purchase power agreements to meet the District's and other utility entities energy needs and contractual requirements

Perform system load forecasting and economic analysis

Coordinate and perform electric generation and water control, and power purchase/sales to meet system load demands

Coordinate generation and transmission outages with District personnel and outside agencies

Desired Skills and Experience *

· Experience with regulatory processes related to designing and certifying power supplies for commercial electronics

· Excellent knowledge of AC-DC & DC-DC design issues, system level power distribution, and industry best practices

· Excellent communicator of requirements, critical path, and schedules.

· Hands-on experience with power electronics -- will need to spend time in lab

· Good understanding of analog/power circuit design and qualification

Appointment level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications

At least three (3) years full time progressively responsible experience in industrial power systems design

Experience in the layout and design of power distribution systems (less than 600 volts), wiring, protection and grounding

Experience with the AE design process and the development of detailed specifications leading to construction documents

Knowledge of power system design, including sizing of transformers, panelboards, switchgear, feeders, and control systems associated with starters, VFD’s

Excellent teamwork and customer service and clear and concise communications skills

Demonstrated strong technical skills in installing, solving, and calibrating system devices

Technicians will work in conjunction with all Reedy Creek Energy Services Cast Members to form teams when applicable for any emergency

Familiar with a multitude of diagnostic equipment, including, but not limited to, tracers, multi-meters, meggers, locating equipment, and thermography device

Support Instrument & Control maintenance and replacement

Read and understand schematics and point-to-point wiring diagrams

Maintain and update documentation in MAXIMO

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

Incumbent must maintain appropriate Crane Operator's certification for all cranes at the Project.

Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in line work.

Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.

Able to perform rigorous physical labor.

Recommend additional spare parts requirements to immediate supervisor

Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic instruments, control valves, pressure, flow, level, temperature, weigh scales and analytical instrumentation.

Ability to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards.

Completion of an approved certified program for instrumentation/control system, electronics, & electrical; OR

High School diploma or GED
