Electrical Engineer Level I Jobs in Idaho

Communicates with customer to establish understanding of customer’s technical requirements and convey design capabilities or product performance.

Enhances technical knowledge by routinely reading technical publications, enrolling in educational courses, and engaging in professional associations.

Familiarity with regulatory certification requirements for aircraft electrical and avionics systems is a plus.

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Recommends and participates in organizational improvement initiatives that involve cross-functional team settings and responsibilities.

Bachelor of Science in engineering or related field of study, no experience required.

Develops and improves technical knowledge and skills

Minimum Salary 62,400.00 annually. Depending on qualifications and experience.

Working knowledge of symmetrical components, fault current calculations, and machine theory

Experience in the layout of electrical distribution systems, cable tray, conduit, grounding, and underground duct bank design.

Ability to work with more experienced electrical engineers to apply standard textbook electrical design and analysis approach

Strong verbal and written communications skills that are well organized and persuasive

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Internship or other experience in the electrical power industry

Knowledge of National Electrical Code

Entry level electrical power engineering position.

BS degree in Electrical Engineering

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

1-3+ years of proven experience working with the design/configuration electrical power distribution products and systems. Preference given to experience with switchgear.

Ability to multitask and manage large workloads and business demands.

Experience with electrical design for medium voltage switchgear, preference given to experience with Siemens switchgear.

Work independently and/or lead a project team to create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of Medium Voltage switchgears.

Utilize the engineering configurator software to prepare, one-line drawings, control schematics and bill of material with a high degree of accuracy.
