Electrical Design Engineer – Entry Level Jobs in Virginia

E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) Certification is a plus

Proficiency in Engineering Software such as AutoCAD MEP is required. Experience with REVIT and COMCheck is a plus.

Possesses thorough knowledge of NEC and other codes

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements

Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable

Support the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements

Novice technical expertise and application domain knowledge

Learn design concepts and code requirements from senior design staff

You have 0-3 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for various types of facilities

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Use AutoCAD and REVIT for system design

Work with senior staff to design electrical power, lighting, and special systems
