Implement knowledge of special diets, providing proper nutrition to the patient

Experience working in a fast-paced environment is helpful

Assemble and serve meals and snacks for the patients

Provide customer service to patients in a behavioral health setting

Read meal tickets to ensure only items adhering to the diet orders are served

Patrol campus in vehicle and on-foot, provide protection for hospital staff, patients, visitors, and property

Intervene and de-escalate in uncertain/crisis situations

Provide security presence, walk-throughs, and safety checks on the wards

Act as liaison between emergency responders and the hospital leadership; gather information for Law Enforcement, identify witnesses, and obtain initial statements

Confiscate and secure contraband, write reports

Respond to fire, smoke, intrusion, and burglar alarms

Advanced knowledge and clinical experience in behavioral health diagnosis and treatment

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification is preferred but not required

Provide consultation, medication evaluation, and oversight to a range of people experiencing behavioral health issues

Diagnose and treat acute behavioral health conditions or illnesses; prescribe medication, and monitor medication regime

Deliver patient care, conduct status evaluations and assessments, and create diagnostic formulation

Monitor health care issues, consult with medical physicians, and refer for specialized medical care as needed

Basic knowledge of administration and management

Communicates with other counseling personnel to share knowledge of counseling responsibilities.

Intermediate knowledge of computers with regards to web-based databases, word processing software, email systems, and data entry
