Driving responsibilities are primarily in the mornings and afternoons.
Non-driving responsibilities are primarily during the school day and are in place to ensure a 40-hour work week.
Strong verbal communication skills are required.
Safely transport students on scheduled routes, field trips, athletic runs and special events.
Assist students in the loading and unloading process and ensure they are released to approved persons.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, proper fueling and cleaning of buses at completion of each trip/route.

Job Description of Bus Driver Full Time A bus driver full time is responsible for safely transporting passengers from one place to another. They must be able to follow a set route and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. They must also be able to handle any passenger issues that may arise. Skills Required

• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to handle difficult passengers
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
Knowledge
• Knowledge of local roads and highways
• Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
• Knowledge of safety procedures
Experience
• Previous experience as a bus driver is preferred
• Previous customer service experience is preferred
Responsibilities
• Follow a set route and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure the safety of all passengers
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking
• Collect fares and issue tickets
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bus
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
