They are responsible for creating detailed drawings of structures, machines, and other objects, as well as providing technical support to engineers and other professionals. Detailed Job Description Drafting Technicians are responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using specialized software. They must be able to interpret and understand complex technical information and be able to accurately create drawings that reflect the specifications given. They must also be able to work with engineers and other professionals to ensure that the drawings are accurate and meet the needs of the project. Job Skills Required
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
• Ability to interpret and understand complex technical information
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in drafting or related field preferred
• Certification in CAD software preferred
• Previous experience in drafting or related field preferred
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Knowledge of mathematics and geometry
