Double Weekend Medication Aide Jobs in Kansas

Participate in job-related continuing education as required by ED/Administrator.

Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.

Report any complaints or grievances made by residents to your Supervisor or ED/Administrator.

Adhere to the proper disposition of resident medications as noted by Rule 10A NCAC 13F.1007.

Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.

Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):

Prepares, administers, and documents oral medication.

Performs medical treatments such as: dressing changes, enema, first aid treatment, and application of assistive devices.

Documents appropriately on all required nursing/medical forms.

Assists residents with care needs such as: grooming, toileting, and dining. Transports/escorts to medical appointments and ambulatory surgery.

Takes pulse, blood pressure, respiration, temperatures, and weights and documents on flow charts as required.

Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.

Holds current CPR/First Aid Certification

Practices in accordance with the regulations of the state.

Receives report from the previous shift and Med Aide.

Maintains physicians orders in accordance with policy.

Communicates appropriately with all care partners and utilizes appropriate communication tools.
