Perform other duties as assigned by Store Management.

Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.

Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.

Keep processing area clean and safe.

Maintain well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including name badge.

Ability to provide excellent customer service.

Knowledge of specialized tools for data entry preferred

Performs data entry tasks that require a higher level of accuracy, attention to detail, and technical proficiency

Identifies and resolves data entry errors and discrepancies

Continuously improves knowledge of products, services, and processes by participating in training programs and continuous learning modules

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

1 year of data processing experience or equivalent

Required Skills, Education, Certifications and Licenses:

Must have knowledge of safe lifting techniques

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Allied Healthcare field, business administration, education, advocacy or related field; or equivalent work experience

Develop and present professional education programs such as hospital unit-specific presentations, physician in-services, medical grand rounds, hospital ethics committee presentations, etc.

Respond to organ and tissue referrals at assigned hospitals and throughout Gift of Hope’s Donation Service Area

Technical Skills-Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills. Take necessary training to obtain certifications for use of job-related equipment/tools as required.

Transfer donated items to the appropriate tote, cart, or basket according to GILSCC requirements, separating donations by type, not quality.

Offer helpful, innovative suggestions to help improve processes within this or other departments.

Must have knowledge of safe lifting techniques

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

Ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal communication; demonstrate situational awareness, compassion and empathetic listening skills

Previous experience effectively advocating, collaborating and negotiating with medical professionals to solve complex problems

Assist the Processing Management Team in receiving, presorting, pricing and other management of donations.

All team members are eligible for a 90-day raise

Must be 16 years of age, or older, to work for KARM Thrift Stores.

This entry level pay range starts at 10.00-14.00.
