- Minimum of 10 years of post-doctoral work experience

Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.

Consistently document key conversations with prospects and donors into UWMD’s relationship management database.

Knowledge of and experience with the Dallas and North Texas philanthropic community desired.

Assist with project management & maintenance of the project managing software

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS And ATTRIBUTES

A minimum of three to five years of fundraising experience, with demonstrated success closing major gift commitments.

Effective project management and administrative leadership skills

3 years’ experience in a higher education or other similarly complex educational setting.

Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations and guidelines related to civil rights enforcement

Experience in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion

At least two years of experience in addressing bias reports, conflict resolution and/or mediation

At least two years of experience leading diversity and inclusion related initiatives and programs.

Advanced skills in working with diverse populations including race, ancestry, religion, country of origin, sexual orientation, and physical abilities

Engage in and support diversity-related scholarship and incorporate that knowledge into University practices and programming.

In-depth, contemporary knowledge on issues of access, inclusion, diversity, equity, and multiculturalism in a large complex organizational setting

Ability to manage within a complex organization

Ability to develop and manage programmatic budget and resources

Ability to develop institutional practices consistent with federal, state and higher education law

Establish DEI maturity curve and aspiration

Assess maturity across different areas of the organization

Create plans to advance an equitable and inclusive workplace culture

This is a role that is both strategic and hands on.

- Oversee DEI budget for consultant and advisory support, DEI Council and BERG programs, community memberships.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
