Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.

Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.

Able to meet all physical requirements.

Participate in planning, diagramming and layout for surveyor work

Assist in the task of establishing elevations and or grades as required

Install or mark neatly elevations as instructed by the Surveying Journeyman

Have a working knowledge of the scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.

Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.

Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.

Perform task planning, train/teach safety practices, policies and procedures to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of that work assigned.

Monitor and report quantities of work accomplished on a daily/weekly basis.

Complete performance reviews of craft workers.

Proper operation, handling and maintenance of survey equipment (i.e. GPS receivers, Robotic and Conventional Instrumentation, levels etc.)

Performing mathematical calculations and field checking of data.

Using a pick, shovel and other hand tools to search for and locate survey monuments.

Monitors supply levels and maintains equipment.

Ensuring the Survey vehicle is prepared for the day's activities.

Keeping survey vehicles, tools & supplies clean and organized.
