Director Of Department Of Human Services Jobs in Colorado

We are looking for candidates that demonstrate experience in the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Exceptional leadership and management skills, including strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management.

Foster collaboration and coordination among public safety departments, including police, fire, emergency management, corrections, and other relevant agencies.

Oversee the city's emergency management efforts, including the development, implementation, and regular testing of emergency response plans.

Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources to support safety initiatives.

Promote safety education and outreach initiatives to raise awareness and empower residents to actively participate in creating safe communities.

Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) system capabilities

Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Education/Experience Equivalency: No substitution of experience for education is permitted.

Experience in hydrology/hydraulics and general erosion control principles and practices

Prior experience at engineering firm or municipality a plus

License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
