Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Is aware of safety regulations and responsibilities in operating all equipment.

Must possess working knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food.

Must possess working knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.

Must practice good personal hygiene and follow the dress code requirements.

Must have knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food.

Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook

Proven experience as a dietary aide

Further experience in customer service will be appreciated

Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines

Friendly with good communication skills

High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus

Pay rates up to $17/hour based on experience!!

Meet the residents while recognizing and appropriately responding to their needs

Take food orders and serve meals to residents while assuring their dining needs are met in a timely manner

Properly clean and store dishes, pots, pans, flatware, and glasses

Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions-will train if needed

Friendly with good communication skills

Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order

Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.

Handles and prepares food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.

Takes accurate measures to avoid food waste, including participating in production meetings with supervisor(s) and use of production sheets.

Handles food and equipment according to corporate, local, state and federal sanitation policies and procedures.

Please note we work in healthcare facilities; vaccination requirements will be discussed during interview process.

Helps with food preparation, makes sandwiches, fills and distributes snack cart, pulls and dates supplements, dates juices/milks

Understand basic nutrition including therapeutic and mechanically altered diets,

Understands, honors and follows resident/patient preferences and tray cards. Also

Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment, appliances and work areas

Stocks serving areas with needed supplies (condiments, beverages, utensils, etc.)
