They must be able to accurately enter data into the coding system and ensure accuracy of the data. They must be able to review and audit patient records for accuracy and completeness. They must be able to communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and be able to provide guidance and assistance to other coders.

What is Diagnostic Radiology Coder Job Skills Required?

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
