Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities. Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

This includes vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and other cleaning duties. They may also be responsible for minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and repairing minor plumbing issues. They may also be responsible for setting up and breaking down furniture for events, as well as moving furniture and equipment. Skill Requirements A Day Porter should have excellent communication and customer service skills. They should be able to work independently and be able to follow instructions. They should also have good physical stamina and be able to lift and move heavy objects. Qualifications A Day Porter should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge A Day Porter should have knowledge of cleaning techniques and products, as well as knowledge of minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
