A CRE Underwriter is responsible for analyzing and evaluating commercial real estate loan requests to determine creditworthiness and risk. They are responsible for ensuring that the loan meets the bank’s lending criteria and that the borrower is able to repay the loan. They must review and analyze loan applications, financial statements, credit reports, and other documents to assess the borrower’s ability to repay the loan. They must also analyze the property’s value and marketability to determine the loan’s risk. They must also work with loan officers and other bank personnel to ensure that the loan meets the bank’s lending criteria.
